Terms
Terms of service
Effective 31 August 2026
The service
Junkmail provides private disposable aliases that receive email into your account. Receiving aliases cannot send, reply, or forward mail. Free remains fully usable with the alias, storage, retention, search, and notification limits shown in the product.
Optional annual Premium and Pro plans
Premium costs $20 USD and Pro costs $100 USD, each for a 365-day term. Premium includes the higher limits, early-access domains, mail rules, alias timers, and mailbox export shown in the product. Pro also includes scoped API tokens, signed webhooks, deterministic test-mail injection, and developer documentation. Payment is a user-initiated Bitcoin on-chain checkout through Junkmail’s self-hosted BTCPay Server. Junkmail does not store a card, wallet private key, or payment credential and does not renew automatically.
Only a valid, finally settled payment activates or extends a paid tier. A browser return, pending, expired, invalid, manually marked, partial, or duplicate event does not grant access. Renewing the same tier early adds 365 days after the later of settlement or the existing paid-through date. Buying Pro while Premium is active instead starts a fresh 365-day Pro term at settlement and supersedes all remaining Premium time, without proration, credit, or transfer. Premium cannot be purchased while Pro is active.
When a paid term expires, the account returns to Free without deleting owned aliases or paid-feature configuration. Aliases above the Free cap and paid integrations, rules, and timers are paused rather than erased and resume when the account becomes eligible again. Retained mail remains subject to the active plan’s ordinary storage and retention limits. Bitcoin network transfers cannot be reversed by Junkmail; any refund handling remains subject to applicable law and the terms presented for the transaction.
Your account
Provide an email address you control, complete verification, keep your password and recovery material secure, and promptly revoke any session, API token, webhook, or push subscription you no longer recognize. You are responsible for activity performed through access credentials you create.
Aliases and messages
A claimed alias is assigned only to your account while active or paused. Burning an alias is permanent: the address becomes an anonymized tombstone and will never be assigned again. Email delivery is not guaranteed; internet senders, DNS, filtering, maintenance, storage limits, and retention can affect whether a message remains available. Do not use Junkmail as the sole copy of information you must preserve.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Junkmail may pause or burn aliases, revoke integration credentials, suspend an account, or permanently ban and purge an account when needed to protect the service or respond to abuse. A ban burns claimed aliases permanently.
Changes and availability
The service may change limits, features, receiving domains, or availability as it is operated and hardened. A domain being retired follows a staged receive-only lifecycle. Material policy changes will be published on these pages with a new effective date.
Ending use
You may stop using the service at any time. An authenticated non-administrator can export or delete the account from Your data. Administrator-account deletion requires another administrator through the audited operator console. Account deletion is irreversible and retains only anonymized alias tombstones and the minimum detached invoice/accounting records—including stable operational identifiers and timestamps—the service must preserve for legal, security, and exact-once integrity.
Service responsibility
Junkmail is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent allowed by applicable law, the service does not promise uninterrupted delivery or permanent storage and is not responsible for loss caused by relying on a disposable mailbox as an archive. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
